Dear (personal names)

Thank you for the opportunity to meet with you concerning the Capital Campaign for ___________.

During our meeting we requested a gift commitment of ($ amount), which could be given over a five-year period. We also visited with you regarding the possibility of remembering the parish in your estate plans.

We agreed to meet at a later date after you have had time to pray and reflect upon our requests (or, you agreed to call Fr. ____and let him know what you will commit to the Campaign; or, you gave us permission to call you in the future to learn of any changes to the situation you described to us). Please know that we will be grateful for whatever you may choose to do. We know that we must ask, because the project is unprecedented in size for our community.

From every family we are asking for a sacrificial gift according to biblical standards and the teaching of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Of course, only you can determine what would be a sacrificial gift.

It is our heartfelt conviction that this program will enhance the spiritual life of the community, improve our program of services and help us to fulfill our mission as a parish.

We ask for your prayers and continued support.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Priest/Chairperson
