Parishes should be diligent in maintaining up to date contact and family information on parishioners – not an easy task in the speed and fluidity at which our culture moves today. Parishes that fail to collect email and cell phone information are especially vulnerable to losing communications with parishioners. Occasionally, an all parish canvass may be in order to update and gather new information. Here are two forms, one is for volunteer callers who request a few minutes from fellow parishioners to ascertain if our information is correct and one form is for handouts in church to be collected as parishioners leave. Be careful not to abuse the information with an avalanche of Facebook postings, twitters, text messages, etc. This may result in the dreaded “block” or “ignore”.
